Manifold

The manifold differs from the node in a component balance and is used for situations in which there is a single input that splits into one or more outputs. The components fractions propagate from the input flow to the output flows. The same mass balance and state balance equations used for in the Node scenario apply, but the component balance equations are different.

The component balance equations for the manifold scenario for each output flow j are as follows:
